Description
What is a Standard galvanized bollard?
Our Standard galvanized bollard is the outdoor-ready version of our general-duty bollard line — hot-dip galvanized steel pipe on a mounting base for lasting corrosion resistance in exposed installations. It protects the same range of low-to-moderate impact areas as our bare steel bollard, with a finish built to hold up through weather and time.
Where galvanized bollards get used
- Outdoor storefront and building corner protection
- Parking lot, driveway, and loading dock guarding
- Coastal or high-moisture site installations
- Fuel island and utility protection exposed to weather
- Long-term perimeter marking for exterior property lines
Why choose galvanized over bare
Galvanizing adds a zinc coating that resists rust far longer than bare steel left exposed to rain, humidity, or coastal air. It costs more upfront than the bare finish, but for permanent outdoor installations it typically means fewer touch-ups and a longer service life. Bare steel remains the better value for indoor or covered applications.
